The ISO 9001:2008 standard specifies the requirements for a quality management system where an organisation needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products or services that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements.

Some of the key requirements in ISO 9001:2008 include:

  • Documented Quality Management System documentation (including Quality Manual, Procedure Manual, Support Documentation) that cover all key processes in the organisation;
  • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;
  • Keeping adequate records;
  • Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary;
  • Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness;
  • Facilitating continual improvement.

Resolve Consulting can assist organisations to implement a quality management system in accordance to the ISO 9001:2008 standard. The process will normally start with a gap analysis between your existing business practices and the requirements of the standard. We would then assist with the development of documented procedures covering the entire business, help and advise in their implementation, and assist in the training of staff in their use. We can also perform internal audits and facilitate management review meetings. Finally, we can also assist with the selection and appointment of a UKAS accredited certification body and attend certification audits.
